| Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T1

				 If
you live by the philosophy that you can't be too rich or too
thin, the Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T1 belongs in the pocket of your
Armani suit. This ultrachic, thin, high-resolution snapshot
camera boasts a large 2.5-inch LCD, unusually good video
capabilities, and a Carl Zeiss 3X zoom lens. But despite the
T1's cool factor, enthusiasts won't be satisfied with its
minimal advanced controls, and persnickety shooters will look
down their noses at its image quality.

						The good:
Very thin and highly portable; excellent
						video specs; fast performance; long battery life;
						included USB 2.0 cradle.

						The bad:
Extremely weak flash; no tripod mount; no
custom white balance; poorly labeled menus.

						What's it for:
						Taking 5-megapixel photos and capturing
						VGA (640x480) video clips.

						Who's it for:
						Snapshot photographers who want an
						ultracompact camera.

						Essential extras:
A Memory Stick Pro Duo with a capacity of
						at least 128MB.

						The bottom line:
This sleek and very thin Sony is good for
on-the-go snapshots, but its photo quality is just OK. |
